artificial
Technology has become an indispensable part of our daily lives, both privately and professionally. As designers, we operate in a field of tension where the boundaries between the natural and the artificial are becoming increasingly blurred. Advances in technology open up endless possibilities for us: we design, optimize, and create new worlds that often seem more perfect than reality itself. But as we strive to achieve these ideals, the question arises: what is still real? In this issue, we want to take a closer look at the tension between the natural and the artificial.
Format 34 was an internal university project that involved designing a magazine. More specifically, each group had to write and design an article for the magazine.
suppments x body image
In our article, we wanted to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of supplements. Also what Ozempic is and how dangerous this current trend can be, and in particular how it relates to our body image.
photoshoot and design
When it came to the photos, it was important to us to make the whole thing as transparent as possible and to show different facets. When we started designing the article, we received guidelines from the organizing team. More specifically, the font and colors were specified, but the rest was left up to us. Therefore, we focused more on the images with accompanying text and, where suitable, used only typography on some pages.
